Job summary
Optus is seeking a senior Internet Network Engineer to lead the design, testing, and lifecycle evolution of the Internet routing infrastructure. You will translate architecture and service requirements into detailed, operationally robust network solutions and mentor engineers across projects and vendor engagements.

Qualifications
- Degree in Telecommunications Engineering or a related discipline or equivalent industry experience.
- 7+ years' experience in service-provider, hyperscale or large-scale Internet network engineering.
- Experience with BGP/MP-BGP, OSPF, IS-IS, MPLS, SRv6 and traffic engineering.
Responsibilities
- Lead the detailed design and evolution of Optus' Internet routing infrastructure.
- Act as technical lead for complex routing initiatives and multivendor challenges.
- Develop high-quality engineering deliverables including designs, test plans and handover docs.
- Lead lab testing, validation and production implementation.
- Drive network automation, telemetry and observability.
- Provide technical assurance and leadership across the lifecycle and mentor engineers.
