Job summary

Scyne Advisory Pty is seeking an experienced Internal Audit Consultant for our Risk, Programs and Cyber capability. You will lead delivery of internal audit engagements for public sector clients, build trusted client relationships, and guide teams to deliver high-quality audits with strong governance and risk insight.

You will contribute to business development, mentor junior staff, and collaborate with experts across the practice to enhance controls and compliance across diverse government

Qualifications

• 5+ years of demonstrated internal audit and risk experience, managing engagements or programs
• CIA certification preferred
• Proven ability to manage and deliver internal audit projects to high quality
• Proven ability to build effective client and stakeholder relationships
• Working knowledge of internal audit and risk management methodologies
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for internal audit reports
• Continuous learning mindset to stay updated on trends and innovations

Responsibilities

• Manage the delivery of internal audit engagements and programs across multiple clients
• Lead internal audit engagement teams ensuring high-quality audits
• Develop external relationships with client stakeholders and senior management
• Collaborate with other experts across the practice and service areas
• Provide expertise on risk management, governance, and controls across public sector clients
• Mentor and develop junior team members through on-the-job training
• Support business development through tender responses and thought leadership
