Job summary

CITIC Pacific Mining is seeking a Senior Internal Audit Analyst for a permanent full-time role based in Perth. You will report to the Lead – Internal Audit and provide independent assurance and consulting, supporting risk-based internal audits and managing audit areas.

• Willingness to travel to operational sites; Police Clearance within 3 months; valid driver's licence.

CITIC Pacific Mining is seeking a Senior Internal Audit Analyst. This is a permanent full-time position based at St Georges Terrace, Perth.

Reporting to the Lead – Internal Audit, provide independent and objective assurance and consulting services designed to add value to the business. This role supports the delivery of risk-based internal audits and independently manage assigned audit areas. Assess risks and internal controls, perform audit testing and data analysis, identify control weaknesses, provide practical recommendations to improve business processes and controls and optimise the audit process.

In this role you’ll be responsible for:

• Plan and execute assigned internal audit engagements and workstreams.
• Perform risk assessments, process walkthroughs, control testing and data analysis.
• Identify control weaknesses, compliance issues and emerging risks.
• Prepare audit findings, working papers, reports and management presentations.
• Follow up on agreed management actions and support the assessment of remediation progress.
• Use data analytics and tools such as Excel, SQL, Python and Power BI to support audit activities.
• Analyse financial, operational and transactional data, including data from different systems where relevant.
• Engage with business stakeholders to understand processes, discuss audit findings and communicate recommendations.

Successful applicant will have:

• Tertiary qualification in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, Data analytics, Business or a related discipline.
• 3 years of experience in audit, assurance, accounting, financial analysis, risk, compliance, analytics or a related field, with experience in a professional services or corporate environment.
• Awareness of professional ethics, confidentiality & integrity requirements
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Office applications and analytical tools
• Ability to travel to operational sites when required to participate in audit work.
• A Police Clearance (dated within the last 3 months) is required for this position
• Current Drivers Licence
