Job summary

CITIC Pacific Mining is seeking an experienced Leading Hand - Electrical to join our Processing team at Dewatering on a permanent 2/1 roster, FIFO from Perth. You will assist the Supervisor in supervising installations and maintenance testing of electrical equipment.

Key duties include plant maintenance, calibration, and adherence to safety protocols, with opportunities for skills development and career progression within CPM.

Qualifications

• Electrical trade qualification required.
• WA unrestricted electrical licence.
• Cert IV in Electrical Instrumentation.
• EWP, forklift, confined space, heights training.
• Experience with VSDs, PLCs and comms protocols.
• SAP experience preferred.
• Previous supervisory/leading hand experience.
• Valid driver’s licence.

Responsibilities

• Maintain plant instrument and electrical equipment safely.
• Prioritise electrical breakdown maintenance and repairs.
• Routine checks and calibrations of area instrumentation.
• Complete planned and unplanned fixed plant maintenance.
• Complete preventative electrical maintenance schedules.
• Perform a range of multi skilled trade tasks.
• Supervise, coach and train staff in new procedures.
• Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory requirements.
• Review safe work procedures with maintenance teams.

CITIC Pacific Mining is seeking experienced Leading Hand - Electrical to join our Processing team at Dewatering on a permanent 2/1 continuous shift roster (nights & days), FIFO ex Perth.

Reporting to the Supervisor - Electrical, this role is responsible in assisting the Supervisor in the efficient supervision of installations and maintenance testing of electrical equipment.

In this role you’ll be responsible for:

• Maintain all plant instrument and electrical equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
• Prioritise electrical breakdown maintenance and contribute to timely completion of repairs.
• Routine checks and calibrations of area instrumentation.
• Complete planned and unplanned fixed plant maintenance including servicing and repair of plant equipment.
• Complete preventative electrical maintenance schedules.
• Complete a range of multi skilled tasks associated within the normal trade role.
• Ensure asafe working environment is maintained by: Supervising, coaching and training staff in new procedures to ensure all job requirements are understood.
• Ensuring all statutory and regulatory requirements are adhered and communicated to all employees.
• Review safe work procedures on a regular basis with maintenance teams.

Successful applicant will have:

• Electrical Trade Qualification
• WA Unrestricted Electrical Licence
• Cert IV in Electrical Instrumentation
• EWP, Forklift, Confined Space, Working from heights
• Experience with Variable Speed Drives (VSD’s), Programmable Logic Control (PLC’s) and Communication Protocols.
• Understanding of SAP
• Previous Supervisory / Leading Hand experience
• A current Drivers Licence
