Job summary

The Aged Care Quality and Safety Commission in Sydney is recruiting a Principal Intelligence Analyst to lead the Regulatory Intelligence team. You will drive timely, objective intelligence products and support regulatory decision-making for sector safety and quality.

You will oversee intake, triage, sequencing and analytical delivery, ensuring high-quality, defensible judgments. Mentoring staff and embedding governance will be part of the role.

Qualifications

• Experience leading complex intelligence analysis for executive or regulatory decisions.
• Strong research, conceptual thinking and structured analytical methods.
• Ability to coordinate multiple workstreams and triage priorities.
• Excellent written and oral communication for diverse audiences.
• Stakeholder engagement and mentoring with professional leadership.

Responsibilities

• Lead execution of Regulatory Intelligence Strategy priorities into coordinated analyses and delivery timelines.
• Oversee complex strategic intelligence assessments with clear methodologies.
• Direct flow of intelligence work across intake, triage, sequencing and milestones.
• Provide quality assurance to ensure clear, caveated intelligence for decision‑makers.
• Translate findings into practical implications, options and recommended actions.
• Build trusted relationships and coach colleagues while embedding governance standards.
