Job summary

Autodesk is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for API integrations, building scalable integration plugins, and pre-built integrations across cloud and edge environments. You will design, develop, and maintain integration components that connect external systems via REST/GraphQL APIs, while aligning with SDLC, security, and DevSecOps practices.

You will collaborate with product teams, stakeholders, and customer adoption specialists to translate requirements into reusable, productised solutions

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of hands-on software development experience and/or building integration solutions.
• Strong experience with JavaScript (Node.js) and familiarity with Groovy or similar scripting languages.
• Proven experience designing and integrating with APIs (REST, GraphQL) and messaging protocols such as MQTT.
• Solid understanding of the full SDLC, including design, development, testing, and deployment.
• Experience with unit testing, end-to-end testing, and TDD.
• Experience with Git or equivalent version control systems.
• Experience with AI-assisted development tools and prompt engineering.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and tools such as Jenkins.
• Experience with containerised environments (Docker).
• Working knowledge of DevOps/DevSecOps and secure coding principles.
• Experience with iPaaS and common integration patterns.
• Understanding of Linux environments and core networking concepts.
• Experience in Agile environments (Scrum, Kanban).
• Excellent written and verbal communication in English.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

• Own and contribute to all aspects of software development for scalable integration solutions.
• Design, develop, and maintain integration plugins interfacing with external systems via APIs.
• Collaborate with product teams to translate integration requirements into reusable solutions.
• Drive architecture decisions grounded in best practices and full-lifecycle expertise.
• Identify reusable components to promote consistency and efficiency across integrations.
• Design and manage CI/CD pipelines for building, testing, and publishing plugins.
• Ensure secure software development practices and manage technical debt and vulnerabilities.
• Communicate solutions clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Leverage AI-assisted tools to improve productivity, code quality, and velocity.
• Contribute to AI agents and workflows, including prompt engineering and automation.
