Job summary

Novus Recruitment Solutions is seeking a Senior Engineer, Integrations to join a hybrid engineering team, owning backend integrations and API work. You’ll focus on connecting the platform with external services and building scalable APIs in a backend-first environment.

You’ll contribute to API and integration development, work across internal services and third-party integrations, and be involved in AI-related initiatives and infrastructure improvements.

Senior Engineer, Integrations | Hybrid |

We're working with an established technology business that is continuing to grow its engineering team and invest heavily in its platform and technical capabilities.

They're looking for a Senior Integrations Engineer to join their backend engineering team and take ownership of work across APIs, integrations and some exciting new technology initiatives.

This is a role for someone who enjoys solving problems properly, has plenty of autonomy, and wants to have a genuine impact on the way a growing engineering team operates.

The role

You'll be working primarily on backend systems, building and improving integrations between the company's platform and external services.

You'll have the opportunity to work across:

• Public and internal APIs
• Third party integrations
• Backend services and infrastructure
• New initiatives involving AI and emerging technologies
• Technical improvements across the wider platform

There's no front end requirement. The focus is firmly on backend engineering, integrations and solving complex technical problems.

What we're looking for

We're particularly interested in engineers with strong experience across:

• Node.js
• TypeScript
• AWS
• MongoDB
• API and integration development
• Building and maintaining production backend systems

You'll also be someone who:

• Takes ownership of problems from investigation through to delivery
• Is comfortable working independently without needing everything defined for you
• Enjoys collaborating with other engineers and contributing to technical discussions
• Has a practical interest in using AI tools to improve the way you work
• Enjoys learning and experimenting with new technologies
