Job summary

WorkCover Queensland is transforming its technology landscape with a focus on enterprise integration on Azure. As Senior Integration Engineer, you will design, deliver and optimise integration solutions using Logic Apps, API Management, Function Apps and Service Bus to connect systems across the organisation.

You will mentor engineers, drive CI/CD practices, and help evolve scalable, secure cloud-native patterns that support digital services and business platforms.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience delivering Azure Integration Services solutions including Logic Apps, Function Apps, API Management and Service Bus.
• Strong expertise in integration architecture, API design, integration patterns and cloud-native engineering practices.
• Experience with Azure DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, automation and modern software delivery approaches.

The Opportunity

At WorkCover Queensland, technology plays a critical role in supporting better outcomes for Queensland workers and employers. We’re looking for a Senior Integration Engineer with extensive experience in delivering enterprise integration solutions on Azure Integration Services, and helping shape and evolve the integration capabilities that underpin our digital services and business platforms.

Working within our Shared Platforms team, you’ll take a leading role in designing, delivering and optimising enterprise integration solutions using Azure Integration Services. You’ll work with modern technologies including Logic Apps, API Management, Function Apps and Service Bus to build secure, scalable and resilient solutions that connect systems, applications and data across the organisation.

This is an opportunity to influence the future direction of WorkCover’s integration platform. You’ll help drive our API-first strategy, establish reusable integration patterns, champion cloud-native engineering practices and contribute to platform initiatives that improve reliability, security and operational excellence.

As a senior member of the team, you’ll provide technical leadership on complex initiatives, mentor engineers and support the adoption of modern engineering practices that enable high-quality delivery and continuous improvement.

What You’ll Bring

You’re an experienced integration engineer who enjoys solving complex technical challenges and building modern cloud solutions that deliver meaningful business outcomes. You bring strong technical expertise, a continuous improvement mindset and a passion for helping teams succeed.

You’ll also bring:

• Extensive experience delivering Azure Integration Services solutions, including Logic Apps, Function Apps, API Management and Service Bus.
• Strong expertise in integration architecture, API design, integration patterns and cloud-native engineering practices.
• Experience with Azure DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, automation and modern software delivery approaches.
• Strong knowledge of API security, OAuth 2.0 and secure-by-design principles.
• Proven experience providing technical leadership and guiding teams through the delivery of complex solutions.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts into practical outcomes.
• A strong coaching mindset and genuine passion for innovation, continuous improvement and engineering excellence.
