Job summary

Worley in Melbourne, Australia seeks a Principal Instrumentation Engineer to lead instrumentation and controls projects, delivering concept through execution while advancing technical skills.

You will collaborate with a cross-disciplinary team, manage resources across locations, ensure on-time delivery within budget, and maintain strong HSE and quality standards on Brownfield projects.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree in relevant discipline with EA membership eligibility.
• Extensive Brownfields experience in instrumentation/controls projects.
• Experience in multi-disciplinary projects and teams.
• Strong leadership and coaching ability to develop high-performing teams.
• Proven client, inter-discipline and construction interface management.
• Field experience with brownfield installations is highly desirable.
• Ability to deliver quality outcomes within budget and schedule.

Responsibilities

• Deliver discipline engineering services meeting Worley and client requirements.
• Lead and supervise engineering resources across projects.
• Prepare and review datasheets, scopes of work, and design inputs.
• Oversee detailed designs, drawings, specifications, data, calculations and reports.
• Participate in meetings, produce progress reports, and ensure quality procedures.
• Provide technical support during procurement, construction and commissioning.
• Estimate engineering hours and track against budget.
• Ensure risk controls and HSE considerations throughout design.
