Job summary

Worley is seeking a Principal Instrumentation Engineer for a Portland, Victoria site-based 12-month contract. The role involves defining scopes, preparing technical design outputs, and leading multi-disciplinary teams to deliver engineering deliverables on time and within budget.

You will provide end-to-end engineering support through procurement, construction and commissioning, with a strong focus on safety and quality. Prior Brownfields and mining industry experience is essential for success.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree or equivalent eligible for membership with Engineers Australia.
• Significant Brownfields experience in mining/minerals with multi-disciplinary teams.
• Proven ability to lead diverse teams across locations to deliver projects.
• Strong client, inter-discipline and construction interface management.

Responsibilities

• Define project scopes and manage scope changes per change management processes.
• Prepare and review engineering documentation: datasheets, scopes of work, drawings, specs and reports.
• Participate in meetings, prepare progress reports and ensure adherence to quality procedures.
• Provide engineering support through procurement, construction and commissioning, including requisitions and technical bid evaluations.
• Estimate, monitor and control engineering hours against budgets.
• Maintain HSE considerations across all design activities and provide guidance to teams.
