Job summary

Worley is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer for a 12-month site-based contract in Portland, Victoria, delivering electrical design for a major client, Alcoa.

You will lead discipline work across brownfield projects, ensure safety and compliance with Australian standards, and coordinate with stakeholders to meet project milestones.

This role requires a 4-year degree and 10+ years experience, with exposure to refinery/mining environments and design reviews.

Qualifications

• 4-year bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum 10 years of technical experience in refinery/mining or similar industries.
• Experience leading projects at discipline level.
• Strong knowledge of Australian electrical standards.
• Desirable: Hazardous Area Accreditation and/or Functional Safety certification.
• Ability to work across multiple projects.

Responsibilities

• Deliver discipline engineering services meeting client and regulatory requirements.
• Undertake engineering design and verification of deliverables.
• Ensure fit-for-purpose solutions from concept to as-built with safe/constructible design.
• Identify hazards and manage lifecycle risks of the asset design.
• Leverage digital/AI tools to improve daily tasks.
• Prepare estimates and schedules for electrical discipline.
