Sydney Water is seeking a Senior Risk Manager to deliver risk management services across Systems Planning and Infrastructure Delivery projects. You will implement risk strategies, frameworks, and assurance across the project lifecycle, guiding decision-making and governance.

The role requires extensive experience in risk management for large-scale infrastructure. You will coach teams, engage senior stakeholders, and maintain rigorous risk controls in a fast-paced, public-sector context within

Qualifications

• Extensive experience delivering risk management for major construction and infrastructure projects.
• Ability to apply project risk frameworks across large organisations and complex programs.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with risk assessment experience.
• Proven ability to influence and engage senior stakeholders and drive risk-aware decisions.

Responsibilities

• Lead and embed best-practice project risk management aligned to organisational frameworks across planning and delivery teams.
• Drive risk identification, assessment and mitigation to support informed decision-making.
• Manage project contingency (time and cost) including establishment, tracking and integration with early warnings and controls.
• Provide risk leadership, coaching and training to risk specialists and project teams.
• Oversee risk governance and reporting, including risk registers, dashboards and stakeholder engagement.
