Job summary

XPT Software Australia is seeking a Senior Infrastructure Engineer (Systems Administrator) to reinforce enterprise-grade Linux administration across on‑prem turnkey and cloud deployments. The role emphasizes VMware Aria design, deployment, and lifecycle management, advanced networking, and secure sandboxed environments to support tooling and IDE access.

You will drive containerization with Docker and Kubernetes, ensure robust documentation, and implement SOPs for operations.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years' experience in Linux systems administration across on-prem and cloud environments.
• Deep expertise in VMware and VMware Aria, including design, deployment, and lifecycle management.
• Strong networking knowledge, including experience configuring and troubleshooting VLANs, DNS, load balancers, and firewall rules.
• Experience deploying and configuring sandboxed (or isolated) environments.
• Experience deploying developer and analyst tooling, including IDE environments, package management, and access controls.
• Ability to create and maintain system documentation and standard operating procedures

Responsibilities

• Support deployment of Kubernetes and VM-based malware analysis tools across different cloud environments.
• Experience with cloud services and virtualization, and how these relate to application deployment for VM, Kubernetes, and codeless applications.
• Familiarity with containerisation principles including Docker and Kubernetes
