Sigma Healthcare's Infrastructure Services team based in Preston supports enterprise-scale platforms across cloud and on-premises environments. You will build, operate and design secure, scalable infrastructure, driving resilience, performance and cost efficiency while mentoring engineers and guiding incident response.

The role requires a degree in Computer Engineering and 7+ years in systems engineering, with deep knowledge of AD, Exchange, M365, Windows and Linux servers.

Formación

• A degree in Computer Engineering or equivalent qualification.
• At least seven years of experience in systems engineering.
• Extensive knowledge of Active Directory, Microsoft Exchange and messaging services, Microsoft 365, Windows and Linux Server operating systems and Microsoft core services.
• Experience with identity and access management platforms such as Microsoft Entra.
• Strong organisational and time management skills with ability to manage competing priorities.

Responsabilidades

• Collaborate with project teams to plan, design and implement infrastructure systems across cloud and on‑premises platforms.
• Monitor core infrastructure and Microsoft platforms to maintain high availability and performance.
• Maintain, test and improve high‑availability and disaster recovery capabilities.
• Design scalable, secure and cost‑effective infrastructure solutions aligned with priorities.
• Provide technical leadership across infrastructure platforms and technologies.
• Lead investigation and resolution of complex infrastructure incidents and service degradation.
• Drive automation and continuous improvement in provisioning, configuration and monitoring.
• Manage platform lifecycles including upgrades, patching, capacity planning and tech refresh.
• Assess policy and security compliance; address identified gaps.
• Mentor engineers and promote knowledge sharing and best practices.
