Job summary

Searchability® is seeking a Level 3 Support Engineer to join our Canberra team. You will act as the senior escalation point, manage security-focused environments to Essential Eight and ISO standards, and administer Microsoft 365 and Intune across SMB clients.

You will lead security improvements, mentor L2 engineers, and collaborate with clients at a senior level on technical strategy and compliance outcomes. This role offers on-site with hybrid arrangements and requires Australian working rights.

Qualifications

• Solid L3 experience within an MSP environment.
• Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft 365, Intune and cloud infrastructure.
• Working knowledge of Essential Eight and ISO compliance frameworks.
• Advanced experience with Datto, Autotask and Kaseya (or equivalent RMM/PSA platforms).
• Experience conducting security assessments and remediation plans.
• Strong networking knowledge – firewalls, VPNs, DNS, DHCP, routing.
• Excellent communication with clients and stakeholders at all levels.
• Full Australian working rights.

Level 3 Support Engineer – MSP

This is a senior engineering role for someone who knows their way around a security-focused MSP environment and wants to work somewhere where compliance and cybersecurity are genuinely central to what the business does – not just a line on a service catalogue.

You’ll be joining a Canberra-based MSP supporting SMBs that operate within or alongside the defence sector. Your clients need to meet serious compliance requirements – Essential Eight, ISO frameworks – and they rely on your expertise to keep their environments secure, stable and audit-ready. You’ll be the most senior technical voice in the room and the person the rest of the team escalates to when things get complex.

WE NEED YOU TO HAVE…

• The communication skills to engage confidently with clients and internal stakeholders at all levels
• Full Australian working rights

IT'S NICE TO HAVE…

• Experience supporting clients in or adjacent to government or defence sectors
• Microsoft, security or compliance certifications (e.g. MS-500, AZ-500, CISSP, or similar)
• PowerShell scripting experience
• Experience building or improving compliance frameworks for SMB clients
• Prior experience mentoring or leading a small technical team
