The Department of Primary Industries (Queensland) is seeking a Senior Information Systems Analyst to lead analysis, development, enhancement and support of key business systems for the National Fire Ant Eradication Program.
You will partner with business and technical stakeholders to define requirements, deliver technology solutions and drive continuous improvement, applying SDLC, Agile and BPMN practices to ensure robust, scalable systems.
The Senior Information Systems Analyst leads the analysis, development, enhancement and support of business-critical information systems that enable the National Fire Ant Eradication Program. The role partners with business and technical stakeholders to identify operational needs, define system requirements, deliver technology solutions and drive continuous improvement initiatives. Success in the position requires strong business analysis capability, stakeholder engagement skills, project delivery experience, problem-solving ability and a sound understanding of enterprise information systems and software development practices.
Business Analysis and Requirements Management Investigate and analyse business processes, identify future-state requirements, and develop detailed business and functional specifications that support strategic projects and system enhancements.
Lead consultation with technical and non-technical stakeholders, providing expert advice and translating complex business needs into practical and sustainable technology solutions.
Coordinate and prioritise ICT projects, system enhancements and process improvement initiatives while managing risks, issues, dependencies and project governance requirements.
Provide specialist advice and administration for business-critical systems, resolving complex issues and escalating risks and impacts appropriately to support operational continuity.
Produce and maintain high-quality business and technical documentation, including process maps, requirements, user guides and operational procedures, while identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and user experience.
