Job summary

Gold Coast Health is seeking a Senior Information Communication Technology Support Specialist to support and mentor the Technology Operations team, ensuring ITSM processes are followed and enterprise infrastructure is supported across the Gold Coast and northern NSW region.

You will engage with stakeholders, identify risks, develop strategies to improve workflow, and participate in on-call arrangements as required, with a strong focus on ITIL practice and technical leadership.

Qualifications

• Experience promoting ITIL service management processes (incident, problem, change, configuration).
• Strong technical expertise to support enterprise infrastructure.
• Proven experience in third-line support within technology environments.
• Willingness to participate in on-call arrangements and irregular hours.
• A relevant IT qualification is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Support and mentor the Technology Operations team.
• Establish and maintain effective relationships with technical specialists and end users.
• Identify, assess and mitigate risks and issues with documentation and escalation as required.

The RoleAn opportunity has become available for a Senior Information Communication Technology Support Specialist to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our 14 000-strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia.You willSupport and mentor the Technology Operations team in accordance with the approved Information Technology Service ManagementEstablish and maintain highly effective working relationships with other technical specialists, application specialists and end userUndertake risk and issues identification, assessment and mitigation activities by ensuring risks and issues are documented, reviewed and escalated as appropriateIdentify, coordinate, develop and implement strategies and work practices which will improve the workflow, efficiency and effectiveness of the teamAbout youTo be successful in this position you will require:Demonstrated ability in following, developing and promoting ITIL service management processes primarily incident/problem/test/change and configuration management. (SFIA: USUP Level 4, PBMG Level 4, CHMG Level 4, CFMG Level 3, TEST Level 4.)Provide high level of technical expertise to provide technical direction, standardisation, professional advice and support of enterprise infrastructure in a large customer focus organisation. (SFIA: ITOP Level 4, TECH Level 5)Proven experience in providing expertise and support on use of methods and tools (3rd level of support) within the technology sphere (SFIA ARCH 5, METL5, DESN 5)Ability to participate in on-call arrangements and out of standard working hours is a requirement for this position.
