Job summary

Corpshore Australia is seeking an experienced infrastructure escalation engineer in Perth to own and resolve high-severity incidents across servers, networks, and cloud platforms. You will collaborate with client engineering and DevOps, lead incident response, and mentor junior staff to improve diagnostic methods.

You will document root-cause analyses, contribute to knowledge base improvements, and participate in after-hours on-call rotations.

Qualifications

• 4–5 years in technical support, systems administration, or related infrastructure roles.
• Experience handling escalations beyond routine Tier 1 and 2 issues.
• Strong understanding of networking, server administration, and at least one major cloud platform (AWS/Azure/GCP).
• Scripting ability in PowerShell, Bash, or Python for diagnostics and fixes.
• Genuine incident management experience and ability to stay calm during outages.
• Clear written root-cause documentation and English proficiency for client communication.
• Willingness to mentor less experienced specialists.

Responsibilities

• Own escalations that Tier 1/2 could not resolve across infrastructure and platform issues.
• Work with client engineering and DevOps teams on harder incidents.
• Lead incident response for significant faults and communicate with clients.
• Mentor Tier 1/2 specialists and improve diagnostic methods.
• Conduct root-cause analysis and document findings.
• Maintain and improve internal knowledge base for reusability.
• Participate in on-call escalation rotation and after-hours ownership.
