Job summary

L3Harris Australia (operating as Integrated Mission Systems Australia) seeks a Senior ILS Engineer to support Project Managers, Engineering Leads and Design Authorities in delivering ILS outcomes for assigned projects. You will develop IMSA ILS capabilities for processes and tools and collaborate with the engineering team to support ILS deliverables across the project lifecycle.

Key responsibilities include producing ILS contract data requirements and related documentation, ensuring alignment

Qualifications

• Engineering, ILS or scientific degree or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years in a senior engineering role within the ILS domain.
• 6+ years in one or more engineering disciplines (preferred).
• Ability to achieve engineering approval delegation in own field.

About the role

The Senior ILS Engineer supports the relevant Project Managers, Engineering Leads and Design Authorities in the delivery of the ILS engineering outcomes for their assigned project/s in accordance with the agreed project/program tailoring and contract requirements.

The Senior ILS Engineer also supports, in consultation with the Speciality Engineering Discipline Lead, in the development of IMSA ILS capability for both process and tools. At a project level, the Senior ILS Engineer collaborates with the engineering team members in support of engineering data to support the ILS deliverables for their assigned projects.

Core activities of this role will be centered around producing ILS contract data requirements. As an ILS Engineer, your tasks may include but not be limited to support the production and delivery of ILS supporting engineering documentation and products/system across the project lifecycle, in accordance with the defined Contracted Data Requirement List (CDRL) and/or agreed engineering deliverables, for assigned projects.

About you

To be successful in this role, some skills & experience ideal applicants will bring include;

• Tertiary qualifications in an Engineering, ILS or Scientific Discipline, or relevant industry experience
• 3+ years' or more experience practicing in a Senior Engineering position within the ILS field
• 6+ years or post-graduation experience in one or more engineering disciplines (preferred)
• Experienced theoretical and practical skill competency to achieve engineering approval delegation within one’s own field of engineering practice.
• Ability to hold and maintain an Australian Defence Clearance to a NV1 level
