Job summary

The NSW Department of Climate Change, Energy, the Environment and Water is seeking a Procurement Officer in Parramatta for a temporary full-time role (35 hours/week) up to 15 Jul 2027, with potential extension. Salary ranges from $116,981 to $129,492 plus superannuation and annual leave loading.

You will lead end-to-end ICT sourcing, advise on policy and governance, and collaborate with stakeholders to deliver compliant, value-for-money procurement outcomes in a large, fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience leading end-to-end strategic sourcing and procurement activities, particularly within the ICT category.
• Strong knowledge of NSW Government procurement legislation, policies, frameworks, and compliance requirements.
• Experience developing sourcing strategies and procurement documentation across ICT, Professional Services, and Goods & Services categories.
• Proven ability to build and manage effective stakeholder relationships, influence outcomes, and collaborate across cross-functional teams.
• Strong organisational, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with a focus on delivering compliant and value-for-money procurement outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end strategic sourcing and procurement activities, particularly within ICT.
• Develop sourcing strategies and procurement documentation across ICT, Professional Services, and Goods & Services categories.
• Build and manage stakeholder relationships, influence outcomes, and collaborate across cross-functional teams.
• Provide procurement policy, process, and governance guidance to stakeholders.
• Manage and deliver a quality procurement service, identifying, mitigating, and escalating risks.
