Job summary

KBR’s Infrastructure Solutions team is seeking a Senior ICT/OCS Engineer to lead the design, integration and delivery of critical ICT and Operational Communications Systems across Australia’s rail, defence and transportation projects.

You will guide the project lifecycle from concept through handover, mentor engineers, and ensure compliant, future-ready communications solutions while collaborating with clients and stakeholders to improve safety and performance.

Qualifications

Degree in Electrical, Communications, Telecommunications, ICT, or Systems Engineering or related discipline.
Australian citizenship and security clearance with Australian Defence (or eligibility).
Experience delivering ICT/operational communications on major infrastructure projects (rail/metro/transport).
Familiarity with Australian rail standards and transport authority requirements; RAMS and cybersecurity experience.
Chartered Engineer status (CPEng) or progression toward chartership.

Responsibilities

Lead design, integration and delivery of ICT and Operational Communications Systems for major transportation projects.
Develop and review technical designs, interface requirements and engineering documentation.
Provide specialist expertise across CCTV, PA/VA, Passenger Information Systems, help points, and network infrastructure.
Coordinate system interfaces with signalling, rolling stock, stations, power and other disciplines.
Support systems engineering, testing, commissioning and acceptance activities.
Mentor junior engineers and drive technical leadership within the team.
