Job summary
KBR's Infrastructure Solutions team in Melbourne seeks an experienced ICT / Operational Communications Systems Engineer to join the Electrical Infrastructure group. You will contribute to the design, integration, and delivery of ICT and OCS across major rail, defence and transportation projects.
Working within multidisciplinary teams, you will support lifecycle activities from planning to handover, develop technical submissions, and help drive secure, reliable transport operations through
Qualifications
- Degree in Electrical, Communications, Telecommunications, ICT or Systems Engineering.
- Experience delivering ICT, communications, or systems engineering solutions.
- Experience in transport infrastructure and multidisciplinary project teams.
- Ability to obtain/hold Australian Defence security clearance.
Responsibilities
- Design, integration, and delivery of ICT and Operational Communications Systems for transportation infrastructure.
- Prepare engineering designs, technical specifications, reports, calculations, and project documentation.
- Deliver CCTV, PA/VA, passenger information systems, and related networks.
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to support system integration and interfaces.
- Contribute to requirements management, verification, validation, testing, and commissioning.
- Prepare design packages, technical submissions, and engineering deliverables.
- Participate in design reviews, workshops, and stakeholder meetings.
- Ensure compliance with standards, safety, quality, and client specifications.
- Foster client, contractor, supplier relationships and drive continuous improvement.
