Job summary

WSP Global Inc. in Canberra is seeking an experienced Hydraulic Engineer to join our Building Services team. You will lead hydraulic design across a diverse portfolio, from concept through construction, and deliver high-quality outcomes for health, education, defence, commercial and transport projects.

Qualifications

• 3+ years’ experience as a Hydraulic Engineer within a building services consultancy.
• Proven experience delivering complex, large-scale projects.
• Strong technical capability and knowledge of Australian Standards, NCC and authority requirements.
• Confidence leading design packages and managing priorities across multiple stakeholders.
• Clear communication skills and a collaborative, client-focused approach.
• Desire to work in a supportive team where quality, people and balance matter.

Responsibilities

• Lead the hydraulic design and delivery of projects across a diverse portfolio.
• End-to-end ownership of hydraulic design from concept through to construction.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to developing engineers.
• Coordinate closely with other building services disciplines, architects and external consultants.
• Act as a trusted technical advisor to clients and project stakeholders.
• Review designs, documentation and site works to ensure quality, compliance and constructability.
