Job summary

people2people is seeking a Payroll Compliance & Projects Specialist in Brisbane to manage end-to-end payroll across multiple states, ensuring legislative compliance and leading remediation and finance projects.

You will balance hands-on payroll with process improvement and payroll compliance initiatives, reporting into the Finance leadership team and collaborating with HR and operations in a hybrid setup.

Qualifications

• 5+ years' experience in end-to-end payroll processing.
• Experience across multi-state, award-based environments.
• Strong knowledge of payroll legislation, awards, superannuation and compliance requirements.
• Experience managing payroll audits, remediation projects or compliance reviews.

Responsibilities

• Execute end-to-end payroll processing across a multi-state workforce.
• Interpret awards and legislation across complex employee groups.
• Conduct payroll compliance reviews and remediation activities.
• Investigate and resolve payroll discrepancies.
• Prepare payroll reporting, reconciliations and support audits.
• Lead process improvement and payroll system enhancement initiatives.
• Support payroll-related finance projects and business transformation.
• Engage with stakeholders across Finance, HR and operations.
