GHD in Melbourne is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer – HVAC to deliver innovative building services solutions across diverse projects. You will lead HVAC design delivery and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams on complex infrastructure and building services assignments.

The role emphasizes technical excellence, client engagement, and mentoring of junior engineers, within a collaborative, alliance-based environment in Melbourne.

Qualifications

• A tertiary qualification in Mechanical Engineering with HVAC building services experience.
• Chartered Professional Engineer status with Engineers Australia and RPEV registration, or eligible to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality mechanical building services designs with a focus on HVAC systems.
• Design and review HVAC solutions for quality, compliance and fit-for-purpose outcomes.
• Coordinate mechanical design with multidisciplinary teams across Electrical, Hydraulic, Fire, Structural and other disciplines.
• Build strong client relationships and contribute to technical reports, proposals and project opportunities.
• Manage mechanical design activities from concept through construction and commissioning with a focus on quality, risk, budgets and timeframes.
• Mentor less experienced engineers and share knowledge to build team capability.
• Champion sustainable and innovative engineering solutions that create long-term value.
