Job summary

Precise is seeking an experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our Construction Team in Sydney. You will manage and coordinate HVAC design across construction and estimating projects, ensuring alignment with Australian standards, project requirements, timelines and quality expectations.

This hands-on role involves field site coordination, commissioning support, and client interactions, with collaboration across Project Managers and subcontractors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 8 years' HVAC engineering experience in Australia.
• Strong knowledge of Australian HVAC standards and codes.
• Experience with HVAC design for commercial construction projects.
• Experience coordinating with Project Managers and construction teams.

Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate HVAC design across construction and estimating projects.
• Review designs against site conditions, project requirements, Australian standards and codes.
• Carry out engineering calculations for system sizing, equipment selection, installation and variations.
• Review technical selections and provide practical engineering solutions.
• Coordinate with Project Managers and subcontractors to resolve site issues.
• Attend client, design and site meetings to resolve technical issues.
