Job summary

Zinfra is seeking an experienced Construction Manager to lead safe, efficient delivery of major HV infrastructure projects in Queensland, including substations and transmission lines. This site-based leadership role requires coordinating site teams, contractors and stakeholders to hit safety, schedule and budget targets.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience delivering high voltage substation and/or transmission line construction projects within utilities, power or energy.
• Trade qualification, engineering qualification or equivalent experience in construction, electrical or infrastructure project delivery.
• Strong understanding of contractor management, construction methodology, risk management and project controls.
• Proven ability to lead site-based teams, influence stakeholders and deliver outcomes in complex environments.
• Collaborative, accountable and resilient leadership with a strong safety culture.

Responsibilities

• Lead the construction delivery of HV transmission line and substation projects from mobilisation through to commissioning support.
• Manage contractors, subcontractors and site personnel to achieve program, cost, quality and safety targets.
• Provide visible leadership across site operations, fostering accountability and high performance.
• Monitor progress, manage site risks and ensure compliance with regulatory, client and HSE requirements.
• Build strong relationships with project managers, engineers, clients and external stakeholders to support successful outcomes.
