Job summary

Transgrid is seeking a Senior Design Engineer – High Voltage to lead the design of HV primary systems, including SLDs, substation layouts and protection studies. You will mentor team members and coordinate with consultants on complex projects in NSW, VIC and ACT.

You will work autonomously on challenging HV design tasks, leveraging your extensive electrical engineering expertise and experience with Bentley ProjectWise and MicroStation to deliver high-quality outcomes on time.

Qualifications

• Degree qualification in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
• Extensive HV design experience across transmission network substations.
• Experience overseeing designs to meet project requirements and timeframes.
• Proficiency with Bentley ProjectWise and MicroStation.

Responsibilities

• Perform and review high voltage designs to standards and requirements.
• Complete detailed design calculations including short circuit and protection studies.
• Coordinate with internal teams and external consultants to meet objectives.
• Prepare feasibility studies to determine HV design requirements.
