Transgrid is seeking a Senior Design Engineer – High Voltage to lead HV primary design across substations, including single line diagrams, layouts, earthing and protection. You will coordinate internal teams and external consultants on complex projects.
You will work autonomously on challenging assignments, provide technical guidance, review designs to meet Australian and IEC standards, and mentor junior engineers. Bentley ProjectWise and MicroStation experience is preferred.

The Senior Design Engineer – High Voltage plays a critical role in delivering high-quality design solutions for high voltage electrical systems. This role will see you lead and deliver high voltage primary system designs, including single line diagrams, substation layouts, lightning protection, earthing, and related calculations, while coordinating internal teams and design consultants to ensure project objectives are met.
You will work autonomously on complex projects, providing expert technical solutions, guidance, and mentorship to other team members.
