Job summary

Downer is seeking an experienced HSE Manager ANZ Transmission to lead HSE governance across the Power Projects Transmission and Substation portfolio in ANZ. The role focuses on embedding strategies and assurance frameworks from pre-contract through delivery to drive auditable, compliant outcomes.

You will collaborate with operations, clients and regulators to ensure risk control and continual improvement while supporting successful project delivery in a complex infrastructure environment.

Qualifications

• Experience leading HSE across high-risk infrastructure/ transmission projects.
• Auditing, assurance and incident management governance knowledge.
• Deep knowledge of WHS legislation and contractor management practices.
• Ability to embed risk management and control frameworks across projects.
• Strong stakeholder engagement with clients, regulators and contractors.
• Analytical capability across systems, reporting and performance insights.

Responsibilities

• Establish and embed HSE governance, strategy and assurance frameworks across the project lifecycle.
• Identify and control risks early, ensuring effective monitoring from pre-contract through to delivery.
• Partner with operational leaders, clients and stakeholders to drive auditable HSE outcomes that align with requirements.
