Downer is seeking an experienced Senior HSE Advisor to join our Energy and Utilities portfolio, supporting Transmission and Substations projects in Australia.

You will lead site HSE assurance, manage critical controls, and maintain the Zero Harm risk register. You will work with project leaders, supervisors, subcontractors and clients to identify risks and drive corrective actions to closure, ensuring compliance with Australian WHS standards.

Formación

• Significant HSE experience in transmission, substations, utilities or high-risk projects.
• Qualification in WHS or related discipline; Certificate IV or higher preferred.
• White Card and sound knowledge of WHS legislation.
• Strong communication and coaching skills.

Responsabilidades

• Lead site HSE assurance and critical control verification.
• Maintain Zero Harm risk register and align with delivery.
• Conduct site surveillance and workplace inspections.
• Assess subcontractor HSE competence and readiness.
• Support incident investigations and corrective actions.
• Coordinate with clients, regulators, and audits.
• Coach HSE teams to strengthen risk management.
