Job summary

Randstad Pty is seeking a motivated HSE Advisor for a Government Agency focused on Building and Maintenance infrastructure in the Cairns region. The role is Monday to Friday, offering a structured schedule with opportunity to influence safety culture across the organisation.

You will develop and coordinate HSE Management Systems, support regulatory compliance, and provide expert guidance. The position emphasizes incident investigations, audits, risk assessments, and reporting to stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Formal SHEQ qualification required.
• SHEQ auditors' course desirable.
• Cert IV Workplace Trainer and Assessor desirable.
• Strong report writing and ability to translate statistical data.
• Sound negotiation, communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Managing incident investigation
• Schedule and undertake audits, observations, risk assessment, management review meetings, document review
• Provide concise reports and statistical HSE information
• Facilitate risk management and HSE training in conjunction with People and Training and Development Officers
• Client liaison and reporting
