Job summary

Lee Crane Hire is seeking a Senior Advisor–Health, Safety & Environment to lead and continuously improve WHSEQ across multiple sites in Central Queensland. Reporting to the CEO, you will drive safety performance and maintain client and regulatory relationships while ensuring compliance with legislation, contracts and company policies.

Based at the head office in Biloela, the role is Monday to Friday with a competitive remuneration package.

Qualifications

• Relevant WHS qualifications including Cert IV or advanced diploma.
• Cert IV in Training and Assessment is an advantage.
• Mining and civil industry experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain relationships with client reps and site safety personnel
• Facilitate hazard identification and risk assessments with controls
• Lead incident investigations using ICAM and report findings
• Monitor corrective actions and lessons learned
• Deliver toolbox talks, bulletins, alerts and communications
• Maintain SWMS, policies, procedures and WHSEQ documents
• Lead safety meetings, audits and compliance reviews
• Support tender submissions and client audits
• Oversee WHS systems, procedures and KPIs
• Ensure compliance with safety, environment and contracts
• Promote LCH vision and values in the workplace
• Conduct inspections and audits per systems
• Maintain WHSEQ registers and lead/lag indicators
• Provide WHS reports to management and teams
• Coach and mentor employees on safety practices
• Maintain records per WHS legislation
• Lead Health and Safety Representatives and Committee
• Oversee fitness-for-work and drug testing
• Lead compliance framework for Chain of Responsibility and LVNL
