Hitachi Rail STS Australia Pty Ltd in Brisbane is seeking a Senior HSE Advisor to support our Queensland operations. You will help foster a positive safety culture and ensure compliance with Workplace Health, Safety & Environmental requirements and client standards.

You will lead risk assessments, investigations, audits and training; provide expert guidance to project teams; drive continuous improvement across safety systems, leadership, and contractor oversight in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Queensland safety framework essential.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Experience leading HSE on major turnkey projects.
• Experience overseeing contractor safety and risk.
• Proficient in HOP and HRO principles.
• Strong cross-functional communication.
• Background in rail or construction.
• Integrity and continuous improvement mindset.

Responsibilities

• Provide HSE support across Queensland operations.
• Lead risk assessments, investigations and audits.
• Coach project teams on safety leadership and risk management.
• Drive continuous improvement of HSE systems and culture.
