Job summary

Downer is seeking an experienced Senior Health and Safety Advisor to join our Energy & Utilities team based in Chatswood, NSW. You will provide expert guidance across health, safety, wellbeing, environment and sustainability, supporting the implementation of The Downer Standard and driving continuous improvement.

You will mentor operational teams to strengthen Zero Harm culture, lead incident investigations, and influence safety outcomes through robust risk management and governance activities

Qualifications

• Diploma or Advanced Diploma in Health and Safety.
• Minimum five years experience in a Health, Safety and Environment role within a high risk industry.
• Strong understanding of relevant health and safety legislation and regulatory requirements.
• Experience conducting audits, investigations and corrective action management.
• Demonstrated capability in risk management, injury management and workers compensation processes.
• Strong communication, stakeholder engagement, coaching and influencing skills.
• ICAM investigation training, internal auditing qualifications and training delivery experience will be highly regarded.
• Current driver's licence and willingness to travel as required.

Working within a Business Partner model, you will provide expert advice, coaching and mentoring across all aspects of health, safety, wellbeing, environment and sustainability.
