Job summary

The Next Step Recruitment Company in Sydney CBD NSW is seeking an experienced HR Business Partner to support NSW operations across a diverse portfolio, focusing on employee relations, investigations, grievances, performance management and organisational change.

You will partner with senior leaders, manage matters with empathy and sound judgment, and contribute to HR technology and operating model initiatives. Hybrid working with 2-3 days in the office is available.

Qualifications

• Experienced HR Business Partner with strong employee relations capabilities.
• Comfortable handling investigations, grievances, performance management and workplace change.
• Able to balance risk, accountability and empathy when advising leaders.
• Experience in community services, not-for-profit, education or values-led organisations is highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Partner with senior leaders across NSW to provide legal, practical guidance on a broad range of people matters.
• Lead investigations, manage grievances, and drive performance management and change initiatives.
• Support HR technology adoption and operating model redesign as part of transformation.
