  • Strong knowledge of AU/NZ employment legislation
  • Experience advising leaders and managing employee relations

Responsibilities

  • Partner with managers to provide day-to-day HR guidance across the lifecycle.
  • Advise on performance, conduct, grievances, and investigations.
  • Support onboarding, internal movements, and offboarding processes.
  • Support payroll processes and HR reporting.

About the Role

Reporting to the Associate Director, Human Resources, you will partner with managers and leaders to provide practical, commercially focused HR advice and support. You'll play a key role in delivering high-quality people solutions across the employee lifecycle while helping to drive a positive and engaging employee experience. This role offers variety, autonomy, and the opportunity to contribute to both operational and strategic HR initiatives within a collaborative global environment.

What You'll Be Doing
Business Partnering & Employee Relations
  • Partner with managers and leaders to provide day-to-day HR guidance across the employee lifecycle.
  • Advise on employee relations matters including performance management, workplace behaviour, grievances, conduct matters, and policy interpretation.
  • Coach and support leaders to effectively manage people-related challenges and make informed decisions.
  • Assist with workplace investigations and support the resolution of employee issues in line with company policies and employment legislation.
Talent & Employee Lifecycle
  • Support onboarding, internal movements, and offboarding processes.
  • Prepare employment-related documentation and provide advice on employment terms and conditions.
  • Assist with visa sponsorship and international hiring processes where required.
  • Support performance and development review cycles and associated activities.
Organisational Change & HR Projects
  • Support organisational change initiatives including restructures, role changes, consultation processes, and change communications.
  • Contribute to local and global HR projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Assist in the development and review of HR policies, procedures, position descriptions, and employee documentation.
Reporting & HR Operations
  • Prepare and analyse HR reports and people metrics.
  • Maintain HRIS data integrity and support system improvements and updates.
  • Assist with monthly payroll processes.
  • Monitor people trends and identify opportunities for improvement.
Culture & Engagement
  • Support employee engagement, recognition, and culture initiatives.
  • Promote positive workplace practices aligned with Avance Clinical's values and culture.
About You

You'll be a confident HR professional who enjoys building trusted relationships and partnering with leaders to deliver practical people solutions.

To be successful, you'll bring:
  • 4–6+ years' experience in Human Resources, People & Culture, or a similar HR advisory role.
  • Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources or a related discipline (preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of Australian and New Zealand employment legislation.
  • Exposure to employment legislation across Asia is highly regarded.
  • Demonstrated experience managing employee relations matters including performance, conduct, grievances, and investigations.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills with the ability to influence at all levels.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • High levels of discretion and professionalism when handling sensitive information.
  • Experience using HRIS platforms, with HiBob experience highly desirable.
  • Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office skills.
