Job summary

Newcastle Anglican is seeking an experienced Housekeeping Coordinator to lead the housekeeping function across its Residential Aged Care facilities on the Mid North Coast, reporting to the Housekeeping Manager.

You will supervise, roster and develop onsite Housekeeping Assistants, ensure compliance with Aged Care Quality Standards and Infection Prevention and Control, and travel regularly between three facilities.

Qualifications

• Experience in Health or Aged Care Services
• Previous supervisory or team leadership experience
• 3+ years in housekeeping, cleaning or laundry in residential aged care, healthcare, hotel or similar
• Experience in commercial laundry services, including equipment maintenance and logistics
• Ability to manage competing priorities across multiple sites
• Understanding of Aged Care Quality Standards, infection prevention and control, WHS and cleaning standards
• Excellent written and verbal communication; proficient in Microsoft Office
• Hold a current Drivers licence
• Hold a current NDIS Check or willingness to apply
• National police check (relevance of outcomes considered)

Responsibilities

• Actively promote the Newcastle Anglican Mission and Values in all interactions and documentation
• Adhere to statutory regulations, policies and procedures, Code of Conduct and Philosophy of Care
• Provide supervision, direction and coordination to housekeeping employees
• Ensure staff are trained to perform responsibilities at required level
• Identify team skill mix and coordinate staff coverage for sites
• Achieve standards that exceed minimum legal requirements
