Job summary

Churches of Christ in Queensland – Hillcrest, QLD is seeking a dedicated Personal Care Worker to join our team. You will provide direct personal care and support to residents, assisting with daily living activities in line with individual care plans, under the guidance of Registered Nurses.

This permanent part-time role involves day, afternoon and night shifts, promoting dignity, respect and a homelike environment.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Individual Support (Aged Care) or equivalent.
• Minimum 1 year experience as a personal care worker in aged care.
• Current Police Check (or willingness to obtain).
• Ability to work across day, afternoon, and night shifts.
• Hold valid Australian Work Rights.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with personal care, hygiene, mobility, and meals.
• Observing and reporting changes in residents’ condition to nursing staff.
• Maintaining residents’ dignity, privacy, and confidentiality at all times.
• Contributing to a safe, welcoming, and homelike environment.
• Supporting residents’ emotional wellbeing and meaningful social engagement.

About the Role:

In this role, you will provide direct personal care and support to residents, assisting them with daily living activities in line with individual care plans. You will work closely with Registered Nurses, contributing to a safe, respectful and supportive environment for residents.

About You

You are a caring and committed and someone who values teamwork and understands the importance of delivering high-quality, resident-centred care.

• Certificate III in Individual Support (Aged Care) or equivalent
• Minimum 1 year experience as a personal care worker in aged care
• Current Police Check (or willingness to obtain)
• Ability to work across day, afternoon, and night shifts
• Genuine passion for working with elderly residents
• Hold valid Australian Work Rights -Unfortunately we are not currently able to sponsor
