Job summary

Churches Of Christ is seeking a compassionate Senior Home Care Worker to provide client-centered care in the homes of clients in Avoca, Queensland. The role involves assisting with daily tasks, medications, companionship, and coordinating with the office for care plans.

Qualifications

• Certified in Individual Support (or higher)
• Medication qualification or willing to obtain
• First Aid and CPR qualification
• Police Check
• Minimum of 2 years’ direct support experience
• Current driver’s license and reliable insured vehicle
• Australian work rights (no sponsorship)

Responsibilities

• Provide friendly companionship and emotional support to clients in their homes
• Assist with medications and personal cares
• Help with household tasks such as light cleaning, meal prep, and shopping
• Support clients with transport to appointments and activities
• Contribute to care plan reviews and maintain accurate documentation
• Train and mentor fellow Home Care Workers and conduct annual appraisals
