Job summary

AECOM is seeking a Senior Technical Resource to provide expert input across highway and major infrastructure design in Western Australia. You will act as a technical advisor for the team, develop study procedures, and contribute to project proposals and tenders for Main Roads WA and major projects.

You will lead multidisciplinary design teams, coordinate across disciplines, and ensure quality control of calculations and drawings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• 15+ years' experience in highway and major infrastructure design.
• Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) - Engineers Australia.
• Demonstrated experience working with Main Roads WA projects and standards.
• Proven track record leading multidisciplinary design teams in a consultancy environment.
• Strong commercial awareness and client-facing capability.
• Ability to provide clear technical direction and professional judgement.

Responsibilities

• Senior technical resource may serve as technical advisor for team.
• Provides specialized technical input to studies and design for staff's specific area of expertise.
• Develops study and design procedures to facilitate high quality cost effective work by others.
• Participates in interdisciplinary review of project deliverables.
• Prepares project proposal and tenders for Main Roads Panel projects and Major Projects.
• Performs quality control review of design calculations or drawings.
• Prepares technical specification sections.
• Provides input to the development of engineering budget and schedule to meet requirements.
• Carries out interdisciplinary coordination on projects.
