Job summary

TSA Riley on the Gold Coast is seeking a Senior Technical Advisor - Healthcare Infrastructure to support delivery of the New Coomera Hospital. You’ll provide technical leadership across design, construction, commissioning and handover of hospital engineering and building systems, coordinating clinical, operational, engineering and project stakeholders.

You don’t need to be a career PM; we want professionals who understand operating complex facilities and how to maintain them.

Qualifications

• Approximately 10 years' experience in facilities management, estate management, or building-services engineering.
• Experience managing critical building systems within large operational facilities.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic services.
• Experience supporting design, construction, commissioning or major capital works.
• Understanding of operational readiness, handover and asset lifecycle management.
• Client-side, owner-side, facilities management or campus engineering experience.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• The confidence to challenge technical recommendations constructively.
• Experience coordinating consultants, contractors, operators and end users.
• Relevant qualifications in engineering, construction, project management, building services or a related discipline.

Responsibilities

• Providing client-side technical leadership across design, construction, commissioning and handover
• Reviewing engineering designs, technical submissions and proposed solutions
• Coordinating mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and associated building systems
• Applying an operational lens to reliability, resilience, maintainability and whole-of-life performance
• Identifying technical risks, gaps and system interface issues
• Working with consultants, contractors, commissioning specialists and suppliers
• Coordinating clinical, operational, engineering and project requirements
• Overseeing interfaces between building services, ICT, security, medical equipment and operational infrastructure
• Supporting commissioning, testing and verification activities
• Championing operational readiness, maintenance access, asset management and facilities management requirements
• Supporting defect resolution, handover and transition into operations
• Providing clear technical advice to senior project stakeholders.
