Job summary

NES Fircroft in New South Wales seeks a health professional with strong injury management and workplace health experience to support workforce wellbeing at a mining operation. The role focuses on injury management, return-to-work coordination, and collaboration with medical professionals.

You will provide health advice across site, maintain accurate records and work with the HSE team to promote a culture of safety and sound health practices.

Qualifications

• Qualifications and experience in Nursing, Occupational Health or a related health discipline.
• Strong experience in injury management and return-to-work coordination.
• Experience working within Workers’ Compensation environments.
• Mining/medicine experience would be highly advantageous.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• The ability to work independently while contributing effectively to a broader HSE team.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional health advice and support to employees across site.
• Manage workplace injuries and support effective injury management and rehabilitation.
• Coordinate return-to-work processes, working closely with employees, management and relevant medical professionals.
• Provide advice and support relating to workplace health and occupational health matters.
• Assist with the identification, management and prevention of workplace health risks.
• Maintain accurate health and injury management records and documentation.
• Work collaboratively with the broader HSE team to promote a strong health and safety culture.
• Provide guidance to leaders and employees on health, injury management and fitness-for-work matters.
• Support the delivery of health initiatives and programs across the operation.
