Job summary

UNE in Armidale is seeking a HDR Senior Support Leader to drive growth initiatives, coordinate RTP rounds, and oversee systems and policies within the Graduate Research School. You will provide strategic, authoritative guidance on HDR policy interpretation and compliance, reporting to UNE’s senior leadership.

The role focuses on continuous improvement of GRS processes, cross‑functional collaboration, and ensuring compliance with TEQSA, ESOS, HESF and related guidelines.

Qualifications

• Leadership experience in higher education.
• Strong planning and analytical skills.
• Proven project management expertise in HDR context.
• Excellent interpersonal and negotiation abilities.
• Willingness to embrace change.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of growth initiatives such as internships and the National Industry PhD.
• Coordinate RTP rounds; ensure systems, policies and programs align with regulatory frameworks.
• Provide authoritative strategic advice on policy interpretation and compliance to senior stakeholders.
• Drive continuous improvement across GRS processes and implement innovative solutions.
• Build strategic relationships across UNE to align operations with university-wide objectives.
