Job summary

Fyfe, a leading Australian integrated engineering, environment, planning and survey consultancy, seeks a Principal Grid Connections Engineer to lead and shape its growing Power & Connection capability in delivering complex substation, renewable energy and storage projects.

You will drive advisory work, feasibility studies, and development approvals, while mentoring engineers and upholding high standards of safety, cost control and schedule adherence across major developments.

Qualifications

• 10+ years' experience in grid connection projects.
• Strong knowledge of R0, R1 and R2 connection studies.
• Proficiency with PSSE, PSCAD, DIgSILENT and EMTP-RV.

Responsibilities

• Lead and drive design from advisory, costing, feasibility studies and approvals across major developments.
• Mentor a team of engineers and foster technical excellence.
• Oversee project delivery ensuring quality, safety, cost and schedule targets.
• Apply advanced engineering principles to deliver fit-for-purpose solutions.
• Contribute to development of best practices, standards and technical frameworks.
