Job summary

STACK Infrastructure in Melbourne seeks a Senior Grid Connection Manager to lead the technical grid connection process for large-scale data centre developments across Australia. You will own the process from feasibility through energisation and work with AEMO, VicGrid, TNSPs, and DNSPs to develop robust, compliant connection solutions.

The role requires deep power-system engineering expertise, strong stakeholder management, and experience in coordinating external consultants and equipment

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems Engineering or related discipline.
• 8+ years’ relevant experience in power systems, electricity networks, data centres or large electrical infrastructure.
• Experience with Australian grid-connection processes (AEMO, VicGrid, TNSPs/DNSPs).
• Experience with CPS / GPS development or equivalent technical connection requirements.
• Experience managing power-system studies and specialist technical consultants.

Responsibilities

• Lead the technical grid connection process for large-scale data centre developments from feasibility through energisation.
• Manage technical engagement with AEMO, VicGrid, TNSPs and DNSPs, including submissions, information requests and approvals.
• Coordinate development and validation of facility models representing the electrical system and operating philosophy.
• Review consultant outputs, challenge assumptions, and identify technical risks.
• Develop clear scopes of work and acceptance criteria for external consultants and OEM resources.
• Translate connection requirements into upstream HV infrastructure designs.
• Support testing, commissioning, and energisation activities.
