Job summary

Michael Page is seeking a Senior Grid Connection Engineer in Melbourne, Victoria to manage grid connection processes for renewable energy projects, both sub-5MW and above-5MW scales. The role requires collaboration with network service providers and regulators, plus technical support across design, construction and commissioning stages.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering – power systems or related field.
• Strong knowledge of grid connection processes and energy regulations for sub-5 MW and above-5 MW scales.
• Experience with grid modelling software and tools such as SINCAL or similar.
• Proven ability to work with network service providers and regulatory bodies.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Responsibilities

• Manage grid connection processes for renewable energy projects - sub- and above 5MW scales.
• Develop and review technical documentation for compliance with grid codes and standards.
• Collaborate with network service providers and regulatory bodies to secure grid approvals.
• Perform grid modelling and simulations to assess project feasibility.
• Provide technical support during project design, construction and commissioning phases.
• Identify and resolve technical issues related to grid connections.
