Job summary

Synergie Australia is seeking a Senior Payroll Officer for a trusted Government client in Adelaide. The role offers an hourly rate of $38–$44.19 plus super, on an initial three-month contract, with a fully office-based arrangement and a national police check requirement.

You will deliver accurate payroll and position-management services, perform complex entitlement calculations, reconciliations and reports while interpreting awards and legislation to ensure compliant payroll delivery.

Qualifications

• National police check required.
• Extensive SA Government payroll experience.
• Ability to interpret awards and payroll legislation.
• Experience with complex entitlement calculations.
• Strong spreadsheet and data management skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver accurate payroll and position-management services.
• Update payroll data in the HRMS and maintain records.
• Complete complex entitlement calculations and audits.
• Prepare payroll reports and reconciliations.
• Provide payroll guidance on statutory and superannuation matters.
