Megaport, Brisbane-based leader in Network as a Service, is hiring a Senior Software Engineer (Go) to strengthen the Platform Engineering team. You’ll design and maintain Go APIs, microservices, and CLI tools that automate workflows and enforce engineering standards.

Prefer candidates with Kubernetes/EKS experience, RESTful architectures, and AWS expertise who can optimize backend systems and contribute to self-service infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Proven backend experience in Go.
• Bachelor's degree in CS/Engineering or equivalent.
• Kubernetes service development experience.
• REST/microservices architecture knowledge.
• AWS infrastructure management experience.
• GitHub platform proficiency.
• Experience with performance profiling tools.
• Experience with internal tooling or CLI apps.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain Go-based backend services and CLI tools to automate workflows.
• Build high-performance Go APIs, microservices, and CLI tools to reduce friction.
• Design orchestration systems linking internal and external platforms.
• Create governance automation for repository and service management.
• Develop self-service infrastructure interfaces.
• Operate and optimize Kubernetes/EKS-hosted backend systems.
