Job summary

carsales is seeking a Senior Group Financial Accountant to join the Group Financial Control team. Reporting to the Senior Finance Manager, you will lead month-end consolidation for international subsidiaries, prepare statutory statements, and support external audits in a multinational environment.

This role requires CA/CPA qualification, 3+ years' experience, strong IFRS expertise, FX translations, and advanced Excel.

Qualifications

• Professional accounting qualification such as CA or CPA.
• At least 3 years of relevant accounting experience.
• Strong technical accounting skills with group consolidations, foreign currency translation and impairment.
• High level of Excel proficiency.
• Experience with NetSuite ERP or similar systems advantageous.
• Ability to manage priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management across international jurisdictions.
• Curious and proactive with detail-oriented approach.
• Willingness to learn and contribute in a high-performing finance team.

Responsibilities

• Own month-end reporting process for international subsidiaries, incl. IFRS compliance.
• Prepare monthly consolidation workpapers and journals.
• Assist with cash flow and debtors reporting for the board pack.
• Deliver half-year and annual financial reports and notes.
• Support climate-related financial reporting under ASRS.
• Perform annual impairment analysis for CGUs.
• Assist with external audit process.
• Support strategic finance initiatives and technical accounting matters.
• Drive process improvement, automation and finance transformation.
• Provide ad hoc analysis to the broader finance function.
